Website Modules
There are a lot of programs available on the internet that can be added to your website. Examples of these programs are blogs, photo galleries, calendars, forums, chats, invitation systems, group mailing systems, survey systems, shopping carts, and more. These programs are "modules" that add great functionality to your website without adding advertisements and without having your storage space dictated by commercial companies. These modules can be very tricky to install and customize to make them fit seamlessly with the rest of your site. In addition to installation, we will customize these modules to your preferences including allowing you to choose the skin (style) of your choice, and any other tweaks necessary to ensure your satisfaction. We will also always provide you with a detailed, user- friendly users' guide and administration guide for your modules. Blog
A blog is a web log, or electronic journal, that is used to easily communicate with others online and is a very easy method of keeping your website information current and relevant. It is as easy to use as writing an email, but it has many more benefits than emails. When you write your new post, it will be published on your website and the old posts will be archived and listed on a side column for your readers to reference in the future. When you publish your new post, it will also be sent out as an RSS feed (news feed) to your subscribers. Users can add your RSS feed to their home page such as MyYahoo and they will automatically receive the new post in their home page as your "news feed". Blogs are also a great way to constantly send a signal to search engines that you have an active website with newsworthy content and in turn, they will reward you with higher search engine listings as compared to a static page. Photo Gallery
The photo gallery can be customized to be simple or it can have many functions added on. It organizes your photos and video into albums that can be viewed using a slide show. You can create unlimited users with passwords if you wish to restrict the general public from viewing your gallery. There are multiple ways of adding photos, auto-generation of thumbnails, and resizing of your images to be web friendly. You can even have users rank your pictures by voting on the best ones and then display them in ranking order. This system can be located within a secured area where only authorized users may access it if you like.
Web Calendar
The web calendar can be set up to be a single user calendar or it can be used by an entire organization with accounts for individuals and groups with the ability to give restricted permissions where necessary. It has a separate event schedule that lists events in order of occurrence so you get a quick list of only the nearest upcoming events. It has event reminders that can automatically be sent when the event creator chooses. It can be viewed by day, week, month or year. It can be fully customized with your choice of colors, language, time format, first day of the week choice, event field customization, and much more. It also can be published to RSS feed (like the blog) and the events can be downloaded and viewed with iCalendar compliant applications such as Apple ICal, Firefox browser, BlogExpress, and others. Message Board (Forum)
The message board ,or forum, is a place where your organizations' users and/or web users can participate in discussions, ask questions, and post comments. Message board forums are usually added to a website as a means to provide "self-service" customer support and can be a useful tool in adding relevant content for higher search engine ranking. The message board application has an extensive list of features, skins (styles), and administration controls. Some of these are full search capability, forum pruning, user bans, user profile customized fields, user poling, mass email, topic sorting, user statistics, user self preferences control and many more. We can customize this application by adding an extra module that will enable digest email creation. These digest (emails) will be sent to subscribers with any new posts that have been entered in the forums that they've subscribed to. This will help to keep your members (or customers) informed of posts even if they don't visit the message board itself. Invitation System
This invitation system is very much like the popular commercial system from eVite, but without the advertisements. This system sends out email invitations to your list of subscribers. The emails are sent both in plain text and html so that a user's mail program will select the appropriate one. The invitation will give them a link to the Invite system on your web site. Once there, they can RSVP to your event. The Invite will have all the event information including a link to a page with driving directions. The Invite creator can choose from a variety of page layouts, backgrounds, images or upload their own. The Invite system comes with a separate page where you have an Event List where all your events are listed in chronological order for easy reference for your users. This separate page also allows your users to choose to receive a single email with links to all of their personal Invites. This system can be located within a secured area where only authorized users may access it if you like.
Mailing List
The mailing list module is used to manage users to your broadcast emails (newsletters). This system will allow users to subscribe and unsubscribe to your emails simply by clicking on a link at the bottom of your newsletter.
Group eMail System
This group email system is used by groups to provide a simple way of emailing all of the members of a group with a single email address such as everyone@ourgroup.com. When members of the group put that address in the To: field of an email, all of the users will receive the email with a tag in the subject line such as Subject: [ourgroup]: email subject. This system will also automatically prevent outsiders from sending emails to the group and will pass by an administrator any questionable emails (bounce) for approval. This system is essential when you have a large number of members because if you simply use mail forwarders, you will be tagged as spammers by ISP providers, resulting in your website being blacklisted and your email being blocked.
